Skedaddle is designed to simulate incoming phone calls for convenience purposes. The App does not require account creation or user login and is built to minimize data collection.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited, non-personally identifiable information through third-party services to improve app performance and reliability.

a. Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, which may include:

• App activation status (on/off)
• Trigger events (e.g. double/triple tap activation)
• Test call usage
• Selected trigger method
• Ring delay settings
• Sound and vibration preferences
• Call interaction (answered or dismissed)

This data does not include:

• Caller names
• Photos or image paths
• Ringtone file paths or URIs
• Phone numbers
• Any personally identifiable information

b. Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and diagnostic information, including:

• Device type and OS version
• App version
• Crash logs and stack traces

This information is used solely to identify and fix technical issues.

3. Information Stored Locally

All user-configured settings (such as caller name, photo, ringtone, trigger preferences, and behavior settings) are stored locally on your device using Android DataStore. This information is not transmitted to our servers or third parties.

4. Permissions Used

The App requests the following permissions to provide its functionality:

• • POST_NOTIFICATIONSDisplays a persistent notification while the app is actively listening for triggers.
• • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETEDAllows the app to resume listening after device restart if previously enabled.
• • USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENTEnables the fake incoming call screen to appear over other apps.
• • VIBRATEProvides optional vibration during simulated incoming calls.

These permissions are used strictly for app functionality and not for data collection beyond what is described above.

5. Internet Usage

The core functionality of Skedaddle operates entirely offline. Internet access is only used for:

• Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage data)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)

No data related to fake calls or user-configured content is transmitted over the internet.

6. Ads and Monetization

Skedaddle does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties.

Limited anonymous data is processed by:

• Google Firebase Analytics
• Google Firebase Crashlytics

These services operate under their own privacy policies.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data collected. Since most data remains on-device, the risk of exposure is minimized.

9. Children's Privacy

Skedaddle is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
